What blogs are suppose to be....

In the dictionary, a blog is referred to as more of a informal modern day, public diary of sorts. I would then come to think that this is a TOTAL contradiction, because a diary is suppose to be ONLY seen by you, and only you. So, until I feel that I feel it is necessary, let this post mark the point where a event that was forthcoming for a while happened, and I might open up on what exactly has happened, if I feel like it.

But, for the reasoning of me doing this, I will now start the more important part of this post. The last couple days has been interesting to say the least, it is now a forgone conclusion that I need to find a job, but its REALLY hard to find something I WANT to do. I don't want to waste my time for $8/hr. I would much rather take a 75% cut in pay, and do 1/2 as much man hours in work and actually get paid twice as much per hour. And then, do two of THOSE jobs, in the end, getting only 50% more pay than I would getting $8/hr, while still only doing 50% more time worked. Get it?

All it boils down to is me doing what I love to do, which (as of this moment in time) is play hockey, and have some laughs along the way. Unfortunately, love for what I do changes oh-so-slightly every once in a while, and sometimes hockey gets dragged down with it.

So, for now, I am trying to make money shooting on goalies, teaching kids how to play the game, and more over, skate, rather than anything else really. Which I LOVE doing, but it isn't steady income, which is definitely a problem. I like the idea of working really hard online, and making money through Google Adsense or a Service like CLICKBANK, but as of right now, it hasn't panned out, due to the lack of traffic I seem to get.

ON A TOTALLY DIFFERENT NOTE. As for my diet, it seems to be working, I feel a lot stronger everyday, and a lot leaner. The past 2 days, I've been really good about my fat and carbs intake, only intaking enough to keep me going, rather than going over that amount, and it being stored as more fat. Stickhandling is going GREAT, I will post a video of a highlight where I dangle a few people out of their skates, and these people aren't any push-overs, they are ex-pros and the liking.

Good couple days, could be better

After the last few days of having great days and no problems. It was bound to get worse. Training is going good, still working out hard, but its the little things that hurt the most, on Tuesday I tweaked my shoulder a bit, which lead to pain the rest of that day, and some on Wednesday. Today looks to be a better day, I iced my shoulder down a lot over the last few days, and it feels better. I will probably post at least 2 videos tonight, definitely "ON ICE", and "STICKHANDLING", but maybe another also.

Diet for the last few days was almost just as suspected, staying close to 3000-3500 cals, 500-600g carbs, 175-200g protein, 50-75g fat.

Still working on putting on weight, but yesterday I weighed in at 183, with just clothes on, no shoes. :/

GREAT DAY YESTERDAY

GREAT DAY YESTERDAY! Nuff Said! Started out good, got my hair cut, went over to phys therapy, then over to shoot on goalies (video below), then over to the track, then back for more stickhandling in the garage, then a juicy steak back home. NUFF SAID!

Ended my day out with 3200cals, 500g carbs, 220g protein, 55g fat. Pretty decent.

After much consideration, I think I am going to stop trying to build lightly, and build hard, and pack on some weight, muscle, fat and water.

My plan as of today is going to be, build from now until May 5th, then cut from then until June 5th. Not sure if I should go to a stricter diet, or go to a 3-4 meals/day, or what. I'm at about 183-5 naked, 12% body fat (I think, you can see my abs definition when I tighten up (not flex), and most of my upper body is mega defined, not a true gauge yet. I plan on jumping up to maybe as much as 200 w/ clothes on by May 5th, then try and drop down to maybe 175, and really cut by June 5th. The last few months have been just me getting in the gym, working on my shoulder, and not thinking much of it, and getting a lot stronger, but I really want to pack on the muscle (and a little extra), then cut as much as 20 pounds in a month.

Honestly I don't plan on actually getting up to 200, and getting down to 175, as those goals are really over the top, but set your goals high, and don't actually think that you won't make them, and it can happen.

I'll post before and after pictures for sure.

Today will be another tiring day, doing to start out being on the ice for close to 3 hours, then maybe some stickhandling or track, but definitely gym. Today's diet looks like 3500cals, 600g carbs, 200g protein, 60g fat.

As predicted, great day

Today turned out great just as I thought it would. Started it out with a good breakfast, lots of Wheaties, bagel, and some Ohhhhh Jaaay! Warmed up my hands outside (in the video below), and then went over to a local rink and took some shots on goalies. Did really well there, working on my shot, I actually took a lot of snap shots, and they were rippers too. The goalie coach gave me a couple pointers, which is exactly what I was looking for, and I will definitely take what he told me in and use it.

Ended the day out with 3500cals, 608g carbs, 140g protein, 60g fat, which is almost exactly what I was looking for.

Today looks to be just as good as yesterday, going to phys therapy, then to shoot on more goalies, and round the day out with a haircut, I'll post some b4 & after pix. Probably going to be going for a more leaner diet today, but loaded in protein. 3000cals, 500g carbs, 50g fat, 200g protein.

Shout out to Status Quo, for winning the Halo: Reach, first MLG event of the year, it was their first Tournament win, and the definitely deserved it. Also, shout out to Urijah Faber, can't wait to see UFC 132 in July.

Hopefully another great day

Today should be just as good as yesterday. I get the opportunity to shoot on some goalies for cash, and maybe get some pointers from them, which would be all the better. Then maybe a workout at the track, if weather permits it. Going to try for something like 3500cals, 550g C, 175g P, 50g F.

By the way, I would like to give a shout out to the Potsdam Icestorm, 19U AAA girls team, played really well at Nationals, made it all the way to the Quarter finals, out of hundreds of thousands of teams, these girls made it to the last 8 teams, pretty impressive.

Best day in a while

Today was one of the better days I've had in recent weeks. Had a good time playing hockey in the morning, ate a good brunch with all my family. Washed my car, ate more good food, went shopping, ate EVEN MORE GOOD food, went on a nice drive to release some tension, and stickhandled for a hour or so.

Couldn't ask for much more. I've have changed my diet up a little, as I am currently trying to build solid muscle in my thighs and upper body, I am eating a little more, 3000-3500 cals, 500g carbs, 200g protein, 75g fat.

On a slightly different note, NHL playoffs are about 3 weeks away, I'll post my seeded bracket once the playoff teams are finalized.

Going to rip it up this week at the track and stickhandling.
